The heavy duty PM1-17 is a ‘one size fits most’ pole mount product intended for outdoor use. This product grips the pole quite strongly, in contrast to the light duty pole mounts available on the market that attach with thin 16 gauge flexible steel banding. It is primarily used to mount one or two weather rated loudspeakers of the yoke or U-bracket type. The pole mount grips the pole with 5/16” rigging rated stainless steel chain in high pressure UV rated rubber hose. The chains are tightened by turnbuckle fittings for a solid grip. UV rated adhesive backed rubber is included for the contact surfaces of the pole mount body to the pole. No metal components contact the pole, preserving the finish of the poles, in compliance with the latest pole warranty requirements. The all rubber connection also helps with protecting the loudspeakers from lighting. The PM1-17 is most effective on tapered poles, but can be used on cylindrical poles in certain conditions. A shackle hole is provided for safety cable anchoring. Working Load Limit is not based on weight, but on speaker cross sectional area. The weakest component in this system is the ½” standard axles to mount the yokes. The working load limit is 2 speakers. Chain and hose kits sold separately depending on pole diameter. Easily fits tapered poles from 9” diameter to 25” diameter. Call for larger diameter or non-tapered poles.
