L track fittings are used to fasten into L tracks installed on the surfaces of many loudspeaker models.
There are two general categories of L-track fittings. The first is single acting which are designed for cargo tie down. The second is double acting, which are designed for overhead suspension. Single acting fittings can be removed from an L-track with a single action, such as by pulling on a spring loaded plunger. These fittings have the potential to be inadvertently released by a cable, shirtsleeve, or anything else snagging on the plunger. For that reason, single acting L-track fittings are not recommended for overhead suspension.
The LT-32102-2 double acting fitting requires pressing a button and then turning a collar, which eliminates the possibility of inadvertently releasing the fitting.
The LT-42546-10 uses a removable secondary safety pin as the second securing action to prevent unintended release.
