Product Description
The patent pending Adjustable Chain Shortener (ACS-281) is designed to give adjustability to the installed height of a rigging location. The ACS-281 works with 9/32” Grade 100 heat-treated alloy steel chain that Polar Focus® has used for years to provide superior strength and reliability for basket hitch and choker hitch beam connections. The chain feeds through the ACS-281 and when the desired height is reached, the chain is pushed into a slot and held from pulling free by the shackle that is used to connect to the load being suspended. Height adjustment can be had in approx. 0.8” increments. Using the ACS-281 can be particularly beneficial when time constraints of a job do not allow for accurate dimensions of roof attachment and loudspeaker locations. When installations are tight on time and you do not know for sure what the cluster height will be, the ACS-281 can save valuable days of installation time and potentially save thousands of dollars in penalties for the contractor.
