Pole Mounts

Pole Mounts

Polar Focus® wind rated pole mounts are required when speakers are mounted on poles at outdoor athletic facilities. Whenever speakers are used in a permanent outdoor speaker installation, they must be rigidly mounted instead of suspended. This is because occasional high winds would cause the speaker(s) to collide with the supporting structure and other speakers. [break] Polar Focus® Pole Mounts have been designed to remain tightly fastened to the pole when experiencing the torsional loading and high fatigue that all pole mounting systems can expect to be subject to in high winds. In high wind situations, banded systems can experience catastrophic failure with little or no warning. By using high strength 5/16” rigging rated stainless steel chain, and galvanized forged turnbuckles that pivot to remain in the plane of actuation, Polar Focus Pole Mounts are better able to withstand fatigue and torsional loads than other mounting systems which use banding. [break] An installer can correctly install the system tightly and correctly with minimal hassle when high above the ground. A single pole mount installation on average takes less than 1 man-hour, at location, with all materials and proper tools. The end result is a safe, easy to install system that can save time and money in both the short and long run. [break] Speakers compatible with our Pole Mounts: Community R.15, R.35, R.5, R1, R2, etc. (Not suitable for R6.), JBL Pro AW, and AW compact; Technomad Noho and Berlin, as well as Atlas Sound AH Series and other yoke mounted speakers. Contact Polar Focus if you do not see the speakers that you would like to use listed here. [break] Note: All speakers, and yokes / u-brackets must be rated for outdoor use to avoid corrosion and unsafe situations that can arise from wind loading. Standard finish is hot dip galvanized for corrosion resistance. Powder coating in your choice of color is also available as a secondary finish. Normal wind rating is for 60 MPH, but other ratings are available. [break] Pro audio rigging design, roof attachment, supplemental structure, sales, support and PE stamped drawings in any US State provided by Polar Focus.
